All jazz and music lovers are invited to join Chippy Jazz and Music in Chipping Norton on Sunday 28th September. There will be free music gigs around the town in pubs and cafes from 11.00am to 10.00pm - details will be in the CJAM Programme which will be available to purchase in Chipping Norton both on 27th and 28th September.
There will be an afternoon Schools Band Jazz and Music Concert in the Town Hall starting at 1:30pm - tickets £2 on the door. There will be 5 highly talented school bands playing a variety of music around the jazz and swing genres to watch, and refreshments should be available in the lower Town Hall.
The evening concert will be presented by the International Jazz Orchestra - a 25-strong band playing all styles of swing, big band, jazz and rag. The concert will start at 7:30pm and there will be bar available. Tickets will cost £16 (£12 concessions for under-16s) and are available for sale from the Theatre from 1 Sep for Friends of the Theatre and from 8 September for everyone else. The event is organised, produced and promoted by the Rotary Club of Chipping Norton, charity no 1033672. All the profits will go to charity, and this year we will be supporting Banbury and Chipping Norton Home Start, Age Concern Highlands and Rotary charities.
