Tue 26 Jun 2012: Centenary Woodland Formative pruning - POSTPONED until Wednesday 4 July

This event is in the past.

Wild cherry trees need to be pruned in the summer rather than the winter, and the cherries in the Centenary Woodland are growing tall and strong. Over the past 10 years, we have been selectively pruning ash and oaks during the winter and cherries in the summer. We will be removing lower branches of the cherry trees so that the trunk is about half the height of the tree. If you would like to help, then please contact Christine Elliott on 01608 811057. We'll be working on the trees during the late afternoon.
