Sat 6 Oct 2012: Bring & Take

This event is in the past.

Memorial Hall, Charlbury

BRING items from between 9.30 and 11.00am and TAKE anything you want free of charge from between 10am and 12 noon.

BRING spare but usable items you no longer want: household items, clothes, children's toys, DVDs, books, bikes, curtains, paint, garden tools, flower & vegetable seeds, etc, etc.

The bike repair company, Back on Trax, will be at the Spendlove that morning so any bikes can be quickly repaired.

Small electrical items can be brought along but they have to be PAT tested first on-site before they can be taken.

Bring a photo of large items to put on the notice board.

You can also bring along old spectacles, broken lightbulbs, waste CDs and put them in the boxes by the door so they can be recycled.

We are also collecting bras for Oxfam's Big Bra Hunt, so please bring along any unwanted bras and put them in the pink container near the door.

Items left over are given to Blue Cross, the animal; welfare charity which has its HQ at Burford.

PAINT
Paint needs to be in a usable condition and usable quantities. It needs to be in the container it was bought in; the container must be in good condition, with no leaks, and a secure fitting lid. We take anything left over on the day to Orinoco in Headington where it is used for the charity Oxford Community Repaint. They redistribute it to community and voluntary groups, charities and individuals in social need.

Gloss/eggshell paints:
More than half litre in a 1 litre container
More than 2 litres in a larger (eg 5 litre) container

Emulsion paints:
1 litre or more

Organised by the Charlbury Area Waste Action Group
