Update from the Charlbury Medical Centre

In these extreme circumstances The CMC has had to make changes in the way patients are seen.

GPs will continue to assess patients’ needs over the phone. Only patients who have been invited to attend the Medical Centre will be admitted.

If you have been asked to attend the Medical Centre, ring the doorbell. The GP or Nurse will meet you. Your temperature will be taken. You will be assessed to ensure that you are free of symptoms of COVID- 19 before being admitted to the building.

Dispensary and Prescriptions

Do not request repeat prescriptions too far in advance. It is currently taking 4-5 days to fulfil requests. No paracetamol or Calpol is available at the moment.

Pick up Times for medication: 10-11 am and 4-6:00pm. Outside these times the doors will be locked and dispensary closed to patients.

There will be no medication reviews until further notice.

Only call the Medical Centre if you really need to. The Medical Centre receives many calls from patients who are well but worried. The NHS website www.nhs.uk has full up to date information which is easy to understand about COVID -19 and many other health problems. Please use it.

Charlbury Medical Centre and all members of the NHS are working to care for us and protect us, our family and friends.
