Sat 23 Feb 2019: Southill Solar thatch removal

This event is in the past.

Happy days are here again, in the form of another great opportunity to spend an hour or so in the fresh air listening to the early larks ascending at Southill Solar, whilst helping us to improve the biodiversity at Southill on Saturday morning, 10 am- 12 noon!

We have to remove the ‘thatch’ that has been created by a late season mowing of our lovely meadow, next to the beehives, so that our wildflowers can flourish again, so if you have lawn rakes/ leaf rakes (not conventional garden rakes, please) that you could bring along and utilise in raking the thatch up and moving it to less damaging margins of the site, we would love to see you. We will be at the car park at 10am, with gloves and rakes at the ready. If you arrive later then walk over the north field (in the direction of Charlbury) to the beehive area to find us!
