Fri 15 Jun 2018: Pop Pirates of the 1960s

This event is in the past.

Pop Pirates of the 1960s, by Tony Hadland
Finstock Local History Society at Finstock Village Hall, 7.40pm for 8.00pm, £2.50 for non-members.
Did you listen to Radio Caroline, or Radio London? Then this is a talk for you to hear about the illegal radio broadcasts transmitted from offshore in the 1960s that revolutionised radio, and directly led to the creation of BBC Radio One. Plenty of contemporary music.
Tony is chair of Oxfordshire Local History Association, and has Finstock heritage.
