The 1st Rally Show at Cornbury Park May 14th and 15th 2011

Rally Show Ltd. are delighted to announce that in May 14th & 15th 2011 they are bringing The Rally Show to a new venue, Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire.

Cornbury Park, the family home of Lord and Lady Rotherwick, provides an exciting new location for this popular motorsport festival, and continues Cornbury's tradition of holding motorsport events. Since its launch in 2007, The Rally Show has been enjoyed by many of visitors and competitors at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. Some of the biggest names in world rallying have attended including Marcus Gronholm, Rauno Aaltonen, Paddy Hopkirk, Stig Blomqvist, Bjorn Waldegard, Ari Vatanen, Jimmy McRae, Mikko Hirvonen and Russell Brookes.

Malcolm Neill, Director of The Rally Show said, ?Cornbury is a superb venue for our event, and proved its motorsport credentials when it hosted special stages on the Network Q RAC Rally in the 1990s?. Over two days, The Rally Show boasts a combination of competitive rallies, and demonstrations of the latest World Rally Cars and Historic Rally Cars. It is an event for the whole family to enjoy, with the opportunity for spectators to drive specialist trials cars, or even brave a guest ride in a rally car.

Malcolm Neill met with the Safety Advisory Group on the 25th Jan, (Nick Potter and Roger Clarke from Charlbury Town Council were also present), to run through the noise limitation, traffic and event management plan and all were satisfied that he will put on a good event that adheres to SAG guidelines. There will be an environmental health officer in Charlbury throughout the weekend to monitor noise levels.

Both Cornbury Park and Malcolm Neill are keen that this event should offer a fundraising opportunity for Charlbury and Malcolm is in discussion with Charlbury Football Club to come up with a suitable activity.
