No verdict in car crash trial as road branded unsafe
The layout of the B4022 Charlbury-Finstock road has been implicated in the car crash that killed a Finstock resident last year.
The trial of Pedro Cardoso for causing death by careless driving was abandoned this week after a police reconstruction concluded "the layout of the bend could have given the illusion Mrs Bennett’s headlights were on the wrong side of the road, causing Mr Cardoso to take evasive action", according to the Oxford Mail.
Oxfordshire County Council is planning to introduce a 50mph limit on the road.
