More festivals at Cornbury?
The Oxford Mail is reporting that more music festivals could be staged at Cornbury Park in a deal between HMV Group and the Cornbury Estate.
Hugh Phillimore, organiser of the Cornbury Festival - now revealed to be moving away from its original site - told the newspaper that "HMV want to do a few festivals at Cornbury Park each year". He explained that his festival would be moving away in order to stay independent of HMV.
HMV owns the Mean Fiddler company, which organises several festivals. Specialist website eFestivals speculates that its Glade dance music festival may be one of those pencilled in for the Cornbury site.
