Charlbury's Own Cinema takes on the multiplexes

In an attempt to make you think twice before leaping into the car to see a film in Banbury or Oxford, Charlbury's Own Cinema is continuing to offer things you can't get elsewhere. Choc already produces specially written 'fun sheets', containing a quiz and trivia for every film it shows. Now Choc is also holding a free raffle at every showing, where you can win two tickets to the next film. The first free tickets were given away at Choc's sold-out showings of 'The Queen' on Sunday 11 March; the lucky winners won tickets to see the breathtaking animated masterpiece 'Whisper of the Heart' on Sunday 15 April.

The Bell has given strong support to this community enterprise by opening the bar in the Cornbury room before screenings and even providing home-made popcorn. (Thanks Natalie.)

For information about Choc see the Community Page of this website.
