A Tale of 3 Churches and River
Starting at the Car Park Bell Inn Charlbury
Free Parking and option for Lunch on return
This pleasant 7 mile walk should last about 3 hours. Lots of great views. We leave Charlbury through Wigwell Nature Reserve towards Taston then Spelsbury (Church 1) then by the Evenlode river to Shorthampton (Church 2) and back to Charlbury (Church 3) followed by the chance to have a good lunch. The route is passable but fairly muddy in places so waterproof good walking boots are advisable.
These are three very different churches and there is something of interest in all of them
There is no charge for walks with the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens but donations to support the work of the wardens are welcome
