Wed 6 Jul: No such thing as a free lunch? Probus Charlbury
There's no such thing as a free lunch - or is there? The Probus Club of Charlbury would like to invite people from Charlbury to join us for lunch at the restaurant of Witney Lakes Resort on the first Wednesday of every month. If you are interested in joining us then we invite you to come along and meet an interesting and diverse group of people who enjoy dining together and enjoying an interesting talk which follows. The only requirement is that you are male (women should not worry there is also a corresponding club for women), you live in Charlbury or one of the surrounding villages and that you can make it for lunch once a month. Your first visit will be absolutely free and there is no pressure to join although we do hope you will.
Every month we have a talk on a subject after the meal for 30 - 40 minutes. The talks are very varied and cover a wide range of subjects and have recently included The Development of Computing, History of the VW Beetle and The Work of the Cotswolds AONB all given by experts in the subject.
So if you if you are free on Wednesday 3rd August and are feeling hungry why not come along for a nice free lunch?All you need to do is get in touch before Monday 1st August as we have to give them numbers by then.
