Sat 7 Mar 2015: Bring & Take in Memorial Hall

This event is in the past.

BRING items from between 9.30 and 11.00am and TAKE anything you want free of charge from between 10am and 12 noon.

BRING spare but usable items you no longer want: household items, clothes, children's toys, DVDs, books, bikes, curtains, paint, garden tools, flower & vegetable seeds, etc, etc.

Small electrical items can be brought along but they have to be PAT tested first on-site before they can be taken.

Bring a photo of large items to put on the notice board.

You can also bring along old spectacles for Vision Aid Overseas, broken lightbulbs, waste CDs and put them in the boxes by the door so they can be recycled. We are also collecting bras for Oxfam's Big Bra Hunt, so please bring any along - whatever the condition - and put them in the big pink trug near the door.

Items are given and taken FREE so please respect this community spirit by not taking things for resale or scrap value. Photos will be taken during the event, so if you don't want your photo taken then please tell one of the organisers wearing an orange waistcoat.

Items left over are given to charity shops or Freecycled.

PAINT
Paint needs to be in a usable condition and usable quantities. It needs to be in the container it was bought in; the container must be in good condition, with no leaks, and a secure fitting lid. We take anything left over on the day to Orinoco in Headington where it is used for the charity Oxford Community Repaint. They redistribute paint to community and voluntary groups and charities, but anyone can call in to the paintstore at Orinoco if they need paint.

Gloss/eggshell paints:
More than half litre in a 1 litre container
More than 2 litres in a larger (eg 5 litre) container

Emulsion paints:
1 litre or more

Organised by the Charlbury Green Hub.

If you would like to help sort things out as they are brought and put things onto tables, or help sort stuff out at the end, then please contact Christine Elliott 01608 811057.
