Sat 26-Sun 27 July: Riverside Festival
The Riverside Festival began life 19 years ago as a jazz picnic for friends. It now attracts thousands of music lovers to Charlbury's Mill Field, and yet is still the friendliest, most relaxed music festival in Oxfordshire and, astonishingly, is still completely FREE to enter. With great music and masses of kids' activities, Riverside is one of the most popular events in the Oxfordshire music calendar with families. The festival is famed for showcasing Oxfordshire's music talent with more than 40 acts playing across three stages, rock, indie, jazz, and folk on the main two stages and all sorts on the Riverside Fringe stage - last year it featured everything from song and dance acts to performance poets and a contortionist.
Entrance to the Festival site is down Mill Lane, virtually opposite Charlbury railway station.
Saturday 26 July (12pm to 10pm) Sunday 27 July (11am-8pm)
