An irreverent, uplifting comedy about friendship, trust and human possibility, Untouchable has broken box office records in its native France and across Europe.
Based on a true story of friendship between a handicapped millionaire (Francois Cluzet) and his street smart ex-con caretaker (Omar Sy), the film depicts an unlikely camaraderie rooted in honesty and humour between two individuals who, on the surface, would seem to have nothing in common.
Directors: Olivier Nakache, Eric Toledano. Cast includes François Cluzet, Omar Sy, Anne Le Ny.
This is not a film that will change the whole world, but one that just might charm it. Daily Telegraph
For once, the hype is justified. This is a charming, uplifting French drama -- an irreverent, humorous take on disability, closely drawn from real-life. It focuses on a superficially mismatched friendship between a wealthy quadriplegic and his ex-con carer -- brilliantly played by François Cluzet and Omar Sy. Each has his own disadvantage: one, physical, following a paragliding accident, the other socioeconomic. The Guardian
