Wednesday 23 May. 1685 - A vintage year. This was the year in which three great composers were born - Bach, Handel and Scarlatti. Their lives and work will be examined, with musical examples on CD, by Dr Kate Eckersley at a meeting of the Charlbury Music Class at The Bell Hotel from 10.30 to 3.20. Lunch available. These are friendly meetings with no pressure on those attending. Come, listen and learn! Cost is £22, including coffee and tea.
