Riverside Festival

RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL, CHARLBURY 29-30 July 2017

Oxfordshire's favourite family-friendly festival

The Riverside Festival began life more than 20 years ago as a jazz picnic for friends. It now attracts thousands of music lovers to Charlbury's Mill Field, and yet is still the friendliest, most relaxed music festival in Oxfordshire and, astonishingly, is still completely FREE to enter. With great music and masses of kids' activities, Riverside is one of the most popular events in the Oxfordshire music calendar with families. West Oxfordshire District Council has given the Festival an Inclusive Award in recognition of its work to ensure the Festival is open and welcoming to people of all abilities whether they be volunteers helping out at the Festival, performers or, most importantly, the audience. The festival is famed for showcasing Oxfordshire's music talent with more than 40 acts playing across three stages, rock, indie, jazz, and folk on the main two stages and all sorts on the Riverside Fringe stage.

Riverside needs You
We rely on volunteers to keep Riverside free. Before the Festival our team of volunteers assemble stages and the pontoon bridge; set up sound systems; and erect fencing, marquees and stalls. Then on the weekend itself we need volunteers to pull pints and pour Pimm's, sell programmes and T-shirts, help with the recycling, run the kids section and generally keep the festival goers happy. If you would like to help, even if it's just for an hour or two, email volunteer@riversidefestival.charlbury.com or call Sachin on 07733312366.

Come and join us - the entrance is down Mill Lane opposite Charlbury train station. Like all festivals, festival goers cannot bring bottles and cans onto the site - the two bars and other refreshment stalls will be selling drinks at very reasonable prices and there's a fantastic range of food stalls, from a traditional hog roast to noodles and curries.

Gates are open from 12pm " 10pm on Saturday 29 July and 11am to 8pm on Sunday 30 July. Please leave dogs at home, only assistance dogs will be allowed in.
