The CSA committee organise a variety of fund-raising events throughout the school year, we also make grant applications and oversee the spending of any monies that are raised.
In common with other schools, especially when educational funding is being cut, our primary school increasingly relies on the CSA for a long list of classroom and school resources.
Recently we have purchased a large piece of play equipment for the playground, which has provided play opportunities for all ages. In the school year (2010/11) we have also given money towards funding transport, classroom resources and equipment for Forest School.
During the school year (2010/11) we have had various events; a couple of coffee mornings at the Corner House, Quiz Night, Christmas Fair, made Festive Door Wreaths, cake stall at the Street Fair, tea tent at The Rally Show in Cornbury, hosted a performance of 'Alice in Wonderland' by the Oxfordshire Theatre Company, organised a textile re-cycling event, and co-ordinated a book club.
You can help by supporting CSA events and get involved with the organisation if you would like. We are always looking for new ideas and new members of the committee, especially if you have skills in grant applications, publicity and marketing. If you don't feel a role on the committee is for you but you have an idea please let us know. Whatever commitment you can give your support will be warmly welcome and greatly appreciated.
