"This train has been diverted via Swindon.It will call additionally at: Cheltenham Spa and Swindon.It will no longer call at: Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-In-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury, Hanborough and Oxford.This is due to an obstruction on the line."

Though why it would run from Great Malvern to Cheltenham without stopping at the Worcester stations isn't obvious.

This Saturday and Sunday (May 22-23) there are no through trains to London, as the line between Oxford and Didcot is closed both days for engineering work, with buses replacing trains.

A word of warning for anyone planning to use this train - and the 21.51 Hereford to London - between Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, until Thursday, June 3, inclusive. Both these trains will be replaced by buses between Oxford and Worcester because of overnight engineering work. Friday night services will run as normal.

... but could be almost any train up to the 0835 (that I caught after returning home for an hour at 7am - did any earlier trains run ?) ... service disrupted by incident on a level crossing between Evesham and Moreton - appreciate that the service will rightly be disrupted but the lack of redundancy in the "single line" system means an apocalyptic collapse in service as a result. I would love to applaud FGW for their prompt and proportionate response to the collapse in customer service but if I did I would be lying. How is it acceptable for the only advice to be "There's no trains - may as well go home" ?
