Speed restrictions to be imposed despite police objections

Oxfordshire County Council has decided to impose new speed limits on 49 stretches of road in the county, despite the fact that the police objected to 27 of them.

They agreed to impose a 50mph speed limit between Charlbury and Hailey, to which the police also objected. There is a fuller report here.
